Regarding NYSUT Endorsements
I have fielded a few questions over the past week or two about NYSUT endorsements.  When making endorsements NYSUT follows one guiding principle for both Republicans and Democrats.  That principle is, “Are they good for education in New York State?”

In unity,

October 2022:
This year’s elections are crucial to education and NYSUT could use your support.
These are some of the issues that NYSUT Political Action has addressed and will continue to address:
  • Fixes to Tier Six retirement
  • Suspending APPR
  • 7.2% increase in school aid
There are upcoming opportunities to help pro-education NYSUT endorsed candidates.
  • Labor walk supporting Laura Gillen, Saturday, October 22
  • Labot walk supporting Laura Gillen & John Brooks, Tuesday, November 1
  • In addition to these labor walks, there is a meet & greet with State Senator John Brooks, who is running for re-election on Tuesday, October 25.
Below are flyers with information on these events.
